Your adventure begins as we pick you up from your Labuan Bajo hotel or airport and embark on a journey to the exotic Wae Rebo traditional village. Along the way, we’ll make stops in Melo village to capture panoramic views of Labuan Bajo in the distance. The journey continues to Lembor village, home to the largest paddy rice field landscape in Flores, perfect for unforgettable photos and videos. From Lembor, we drive southwest via Nangalili before reaching Denge Village, the gateway for tracking to Wae Rebo Village. A gentle two-hour hike across the mountain slopes will bring you to Wae Rebo, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by the locals. Enjoy an overnight stay in a local guesthouse.
Waerebo Village – Ruteng
As the morning sun rises, take the opportunity to capture some photos, then enjoy a hearty breakfast as you prepare to leave Wae Rebo Village. We’ll drive back to Denge Village before stopping in Todo, South Central Manggarai, to witness traditional houses known as Mbaru Niang. Next, we’ll visit Cancar, where you can marvel at the “spider web rice fields” called Lingko. In the afternoon, we’ll reach Ruteng and explore the traditional Ruteng Pu’u House. Finally, check in to your chosen guesthouse or hotel.
Day three begins with a hotel pickup in Ruteng at approximately 8:00 AM. Our first destination is Ranamese Lake, nestled in the heart of a forest. From there, we’ll proceed to Aimere Village, where you can observe the local production of palm wine and traditional alcohol (arak). Our journey takes us to Bena Village, home to the indigenous Bajawa people and situated on the slopes of Mount Inerie. In the afternoon, relax in the soothing hot springs at So’a before checking in at your Bajawa hotel.
After breakfast at your hotel, we’ll visit Bena primitive village to witness stunning stone formations, experience primitive cultural traditions, and observe the daily life of the locals. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the surrounding area for an hour. We then journey to Blue Stone Beach, where you’ll enjoy lunch amidst the fresh sea breeze and beautiful coastal scenery. Our route continues to Ende Town, where you can visit the museum of Indonesia’s first president, Sukarno, and explore his personal artifacts. Finally, we’ll drive to Moni, where you’ll check in at a hotel, dine, and stay overnight.
At 4 AM, get ready to embark on a trip to Kelimutu, famous for its three-colored lakes, where you’ll witness a breathtaking sunrise over the volcanic crater lakes. After an hour, return to the hotel for breakfast before driving back to Ende. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and visit the Indonesian First President Museum to learn about the country’s history and the president’s legacy. Our team will then drop you off at the Ende Airport for your flight back to Bali or Jakarta.
